I rarely review products I purchase and waited several months to submit this to make certain it was working great. You definitely need an understanding of house wiring, and patience once all wired to program the inverters. I put the inverters 180 deg out of phase to create 240V. The primary inverter is programmed for the Lithium battery setting, but the secondary inverter needed to be in the user defined mode (USE) for the system to operate correctly. This was not spelled out in the manual. The inverters have a sticker on the side indicating the use of 4AWG wire, but #4 wire doesn’t fit in the receptacle! I soldered the ends of the wire and sanded them flat on 4 sides to make them fit. Using #6 would have been easier. You get to program how much current can come in from the utility, so just limit it to what your wire can handle. The outbound current could be based on how much the inverter will supply, but most likely you don’t expect to run it over 75% rating. I’m running our dryer and a few other things only taxing the system at 50% max for short run times. During these long days of summer the batteries are fully charged by noon, and only get down to 65% capacity by morning when the PV panels kick back in. Of course that will depend on how much you tax the system after the sun goes down! I’m running 2 evap coolers on the hottest days, 2 fridge/freezers, and all the lights & plugs in the house. Another issue to consider is balancing your load. I had a fridge & freezer running together off one inverter and when those were the only load it would cause that inverter to have an unstable output voltage. It didn’t hurt anything, but the lights on that circuit flickered. I swapped breaker location on one item and it stabilized! Must have been a varying inductive load it didn’t like! Their customer support is great and knowledgeable, and although I’d prefer to write this a full year after being put in use, I feel pretty confident this will supply us reliable power for years to come. After 2 months I noticed the panels weren’t putting out as much power—washed off the dust and improved the efficiency 20%. I’ve never seen 540W/panel with direct sun; expect around 425!
